Berkshire Record Office
Introduction
Berkshire Record Office was established in 1948 to acquire documentary material relating to Berkshire, provide curatorial care to ensure the preservation of this material, provide access to the public and encourage research, and promote an awareness of the county’s past.
Berkshire Record Office is funded by the 6 unitary local authorities in Berkshire: Bracknell Forest Borough Council, Reading Borough Council, Slough Borough Council, West Berkshire Council, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, and Wokingham Unitary.
